You likely have a vision for the mountain home of your dreams but the process of getting there can seem daunting. At Discovery House Homes, we are here to guide you through this journey from start to finish. Starting with the formation of our relationship and ending with you taking those first steps into your completed home. During each step along this journey, you can rest assured we are here to make the process as simple and rewarding as possible.

Your Home… Your Way!

Some builders claim to be custom but limit you to a fixed number of cookie-cutter pre-designed templates and limited flexibility on changes. This process is great for the builder but offers you little to no flexibility.

Other builders have no rules which include unlimited options requiring you to define every inch of your mountain home. This process offers flexibility, but it comes at a very high cost, increased risk, frustration and a very long building process.

At Discovery House Homes, we avoid both extremes by employing an integrated in-house design team, design consultant, and a personal construction management team. Our unique design-build process includes a dynamic baseline of standard features generally only found in the highest level of custom homes.

To get started, we just need a starting point.

That starting point can be a Custom Design or one of our Pre-Designed Models but regardless of where we start, we will make any changes you want.

Option 1: Custom Design

Every lot is different… The dimensions of the lot, the grade of the land, and the view as well as where that view is positioned. The list could go on. Do you want an expanded kitchen, a luxury walk-in shower or something simple perhaps? Large vaults w/ large windows? A wrap around or gabled deck? A simple cottage or a basement home? When we say custom, we design the floor plan of your dreams and budget, not ours.

The starting point for your custom home can be something you have found during your hours of internet searches or perhaps something to mirror what you have already lived in. It could even be something we have already designed for another customer. It doesn’t matter where we start, we will make any and all changes you want/need while working with our in-house design team. This is how Discovery House does custom design.

Option 2: Pre-Designed Models

Want to press the easy button? Perhaps you need to see some pre-designed house plans before you know what you want (or don’t want!). If so, start by browsing our portfolio of pre-designed model homes, all professionally and specifically designed for mountain living. If you don’t find exactly what you are looking for, just let us know and we will make any changes you want or create your own custom floor plan with our in-house design team.
